If you do not know the condition of the home, we can start with a regular standard cleaning at our standard rate. While we clean, we assess the home, then let you know what kind of cleaning and services it needs going forward. It is optional, only for when the condition is unknown.

- We take photos of what we find and send them to you on request.

Every home is different. These are the basics, and our office tailors each visit around the notes you give us.

- BathroomsToilets, tubs, showers, sinks and mirrors cleaned and sanitized.
- FloorsVacuumed and mopped, with clear, dry walkways left behind.
- DustingReachable surfaces, furniture, ledges and the touchpoints people use every day.
- DishesWashing or loading dishes can be arranged when time is planned for it.
- Fresh bed linensChanging sheets can be arranged. Linens must be provided, and soiled or medical linens are not included.
- Green-type cleaningGentler, low-fragrance product choices for homes that prefer them.
- Allergy notesSensitivities and product restrictions are saved to the account so every visit follows them.
Requests are planned ahead with our office and depend on your assigned cleaner.
We are a cleaning company, so we do not provide:

What is senior house cleaning?
It is regular house cleaning planned around an older adult: a consistent routine, careful products, clear and dry walkways, notes the cleaners follow every visit, and an office that keeps the family informed. It is cleaning only, not personal or medical care.
Does someone need to be home during the cleaning?
No. Many of our clients set up unattended access, such as a lockbox or gate code, saved privately to the account. If your loved one is home, our cleaners work around their day.
Will it be the same cleaner every time?
We work to keep the same cleaner or team with each home, and you can see who is assigned, with photos, in your dashboard. If a change is ever needed, our office lets you know.
Can you do dishes or change the bed sheets?
Yes, these can be arranged ahead of time and depend on your assigned cleaner. Linens must be provided. Soiled or medical linens are not included.
How much does senior house cleaning cost?
Pricing is based on time, and the condition of the home is what drives the time. Tell us about the home and our office will confirm a price. If you are not sure of the condition, we can start with a standard cleaning at our standard rate and assess the home while we are there.
Does Medicare pay for house cleaning?
Our cleaning is private pay. Original Medicare does not cover homemaker services such as cleaning that are unrelated to a care plan. Some Medicare Advantage plans offer in-home support, and Florida programs such as Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care and Community Care for the Elderly include homemaker services for people who qualify. Check with the plan or your local Area Agency on Aging.
Are your cleaners background-checked?
Yes. Our cleaners are background-checked, and Affordable Cleaning Today is licensed, bonded and insured. We are BBB A+ rated and family-owned since 2022.
What do you not do?
We clean homes. We do not provide personal, medical or companion care, home repairs, yard work or transportation.
